Q-SYS Designer Software:  Support Policy

QSC strives to bring new software solutions and feature updates to better service our customers. To maximize business performance, you are encouraged to transition systems to the latest Q-SYS Designer Software release.

To ease the transition period from the most recent prior to the current version, Designing Software Archives, QSC will provide technical support, on a best-effort basis, on the most recent prior release of Q-SYS Designer Software (annotated as “End of Life – Supported”) for a period up to twelve (12) months.  After twelve months, the prior software version will no longer be supported by QSC.

Featured Updates

New Look and Feel

  • Revamped look: Q-SYS Designer Software v offers a fresh new look, including revamped menus along with updated fonts and colors.
  • Themes (Beta): Switch between standard ‘Light’ theme, and new ‘Dark’, which offers a modern look that can be useful for working in low-light conditions. Designing Software Archives includes ‘Auto’ mode, Designing Software Archives, which follows the default Windows Theme behavior on the user’s PC.
  • New Sample Designs location: All sample design files are now available in Asset Manager (no longer come pre-installed) and older sample designs have been updated to work in version and later.

New Control Capabilities

  • CEC control now supported on NVH (Core Capable): Enables control of HDMI connected devices from a Q-SYS touch screen controller, Designing Software Archives, and allows users to turn on/off connected displays using “One Touch Play” and “System Standby” commands.
  • CSS icon fonts for UCIs: Reference your icon fonts in the same way as custom font. These icons can customize in CSS for color, size, and style.

Enterprise Manager/Core Manager Updates

  • Assets Viewer (Enterprise Manager only): Consolidates a list of system components across all Sites and Systems within each Organization to allow system administrators to easily view and compare system device attributes across very large systems. Also, allows users to export the list as a .csv file.
  • New Proxy configuration in Core Basic Network Settings: Enables the Core to communicate with the Q-SYS Reflect servers and the QSC Licensing server using a configurable Proxy server, which can be useful and/or necessary for some IT network infrastructure designs.

Software-Based Dante Updates

  • Optimized Multicast Tx Flow Creation: Allows users to assign the actual number of channels to a multicast flow (up to a 99 Bottles crack serial keygen of 8 per flow), as opposed to the fixed number that was assigned in previous versions of Q-SYS Designer Software. This helps maximize the multicast Tx channel capacity on larger capacity Cores and aligns with how Dante™ Controller creates and manages multicast flows.

REVISED TIMELINE: Important Notice for the Core f

A new feature enabling improved camera imaging and USB video bridging performance has been moved to Q-SYS Designer Software v. In order to take advantage of these new features using the Core f’s on-board AV USB bridge, the cable infrastructure between the Core f's USB Device Port (Type B) and the PC's USB Host Port (type A) must be USB compatible, Designing Software Archives the cable, port, and anything in between. If you choose to use USB infrastructure after updating Designing Software Archives v, AV bridging performance will be limited to p. Note that this does not affect other Q-SYS bridging devices.
